OZZY OSBOURNE Undergoes Hand Surgery; Tonight's Mountain View Concert Postponed
October 6, 2018Ozzy Osbourne's Saturday, October 6 show at Shoreline Amphitheatre in Mountain View, California has been postponed due to illness. The Rock And Roll Hall Of Fame inductee and Grammy-winning singer and songwriter is being treated for an infection, which required surgery on his hand this morning. Osbourne will spend a couple of days at Cedars-Sinai in Los Angeles, where he'll remain under doctor's care as they monitor the infection.
The Mountain View show is part of Ozzy's North American "No More Tours 2", produced by Live Nation, which is expected to resume on Tuesday, October 9 at Mattress Firm Amphitheatre in Chula Vista before this leg of the tour wraps with shows at the Hollywood Bowl (October 11) in Los Angeles and Las Vegas (October 13) at the MGM Grand Garden Arena. STONE SOUR will perform on these three shows.
The October 6 show has been rescheduled for Tuesday, October 16 (support act for the new date is to be announced). Ticket holders for the October 6 show should hold on to their tickets, as they will be honored at the rescheduled date on October 16. Refunds are also available at point of purchase.
"No More Tours 2" is a reference to Ozzy's 1992 "No More Tours" trek, which marked the first time the singer announced the end of his days as a touring artist. The tour name was a pun based on the title of his then-most recent solo album, "No More Tears". Ozzy returned to action three years later and has been on the road ever since.
Last year, Ozzy reunited with guitarist Zakk Wylde, who played on studio albums such as "No Rest For The Wicked", "No More Tears" and "Ozzmosis" and who has toured on and off with Ozzy for nearly thirty years.
